The surname Condon has its roots in Ireland. In 1848, Bartholomew Anthony Condon (13) of Tipperary, Ireland, fled the Irish Potato Famine of the late 1840's. He arrived in America and took up residence in Indiana. He and Anna Mary Mackey had eleven children. Their son, James Hildreth, had 12 children. Two of the James' children were Reva Agnes and Lawrence Dennis.

In 1918 a major flu epidemic spread across America. Lawrence fell ill with the flu and the rest of the family was advised to avoid contact with him in order to prevent further spread of the disease. Reva, however, nursed Lawrence back to health but in the process fell ill with the sickness herself and died. Lawrence, our grandfather, and his wife Roberta, had 11 children. Donald, our father and fourth child of Lawrence and Roberta married Elizabeth Wilson in 1968 and they have had 6 children: Shauna, Sarah, Erik, Jacob, Brett and Rachel.
